What is the Design Tech High School Annual Gala?
The annual Gala is d.tech’s largest fundraising event. The event is focused on raising money to support opportunities for students that go above and beyond our rigorous core curriculum. The Galas help fund intersession offerings, Chromebooks for every student, athletics department, field trips, student clubs, camping trips, and materials for our Design Realization Garage.
What does Annual Gala typically offer?
Live Gala: Our Live Gala includes a Cocktail Hour, followed by Dinner, a Live Auction and theme inspired entertainment. The actual schedule of events will be released prior to the scheduled event.
Virtual Gala: Similar to our Live Gala, we offer a Live Auction segment but virtually through zoom. Additionally, each ticket purchaser will receive a carefully curated wine basket to enhance the virtual experience.
Silent Auction: Through our generous donors and sponsors, we able to offer a number of wonderful items online for our participants to bid on via Greater Giving. The Silent Auction typically starts on the day of the Gala event and continues for 2 weeks before closing. Auction winners are notified via email.
How will people dress for this party?
We want you to be comfortable! Some people love the opportunity to wear a suit and tie or a cocktail dress, others are happier more casual. You do you.
My family is new to d.Tech, and we don’t know anyone. Will we be wallflowers?
You will not be left standing on the sidelines! This is a warm, welcoming community and the gala will be a great opportunity for you to meet other parents and start to feel a part of the school.
How will money be raised at the event?
The bulk of funds are raised through our live and silent auctions. We also also offer a wide array of Sponsor Opportunities, which any company or individual family can take advantage of.
